Keeping up with Inflation

We thought it was best to address this. Carmelo’s Italian Ice. If you are a current customer, then you know the quality of the product you are purchasing. If you are a new customer, you are about to taste some of the best Italian Ice made in the USA ! But, that quality comes with a price. And unfortunately, those prices have been going up for the past several years. We have kept our pricing the same for the past 2.5 years. We have had to finally raise prices for our 2022 Season. You will see that prices have only gone up some. That really doesn’t even cover what we have experienced. Small things, such as the labels, have gone up 20 cents each! The sugar we use to purchase for $20 a bag is now $30 a bag. Our pallet shipping has gone from $400 per pallet to $800 per pallet. You have all seen the costs at the gas pumps. Our raw material costs have increased way beyond what we can absorb. AND – to top it off, the City just raised the price of water almost 6%! So, just the water alone in the tub is up 6%. We know this is not what you wanted to hear.

But keep in mind a few things if you start to compare our product to others.

We have NOT reduced the QUALITY of the product.
We fill our 2.5 gallon tubs full so the product covers most of the lid. Our competitors fill their tubs about 1.5 inches from the top. Those 1.5 inches represent about 2.5 servings, or about $15 in sales ! (way more than the price increase!)
Since you can get about 35 servings per tub, the price increase only represents an increase cost for you of about 9 cents per serving.
You can raise your prices to the customer just 10 cents and cover the price increase !

We have held off as long as we could, so effective immediately, you will see the new prices on our web site.
